Palo Santo is wood sourced from “Bursera graveolens”, A tree native to South America. Palo Santo, which translated means “holy wood” is historically linked to Incan tradition in which it was burned during spiritual ceremonies for its medicinal benefits. Thanks to its high resin content, Palo Santo wood releases its purifying properties when burned.
To Use: Tilt the smudge stick at a 45 degree angle and light the end of it. Once embers appear, blow out the flame, allowing your smudge sticks to smoke gently like an incense. It’s ideal to open a window, or door during your smudging ritual, and circulate around the space you intend to cleanse.
