The Hemp Collection

Our fusion of hemp into luxury candles has given way to the most sustainable, environmentally friendly, and clean burning candle yet! The production of hemp is carbon negative, which means it absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere during its growth than is emitted by the equipment used to harvest, process and transport it. Our hemp wax blend combines organic hemp, coconut and soy waxes that are gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free and come from renewable sources. The wicks, also produced from organic hemp, produce little to no smoke - eliminating soot typically caused by candle burning. While one may relish the unique cannabis inspired fragrances featured in this collection, the details behind each component adds to the satisfaction of lighting one up!

Fragrance and the Entourage Effect:

The collection highlights three bold, luxuriously-balanced, fragrances. Detailed below, we’ve listed them in order from least to most potent (delivering the strongest cannabis notes).

French Inhale: A rendezvous of sweet tobacco and light floral notes are complemented by woody palo santo and sandalwood. Contains Essential Oils of Vetiver from Indonesia, Amyris from Haiti, Silver Birch, Cedarwood from USA, Balsam, and Thyme Flower from France

Black Tea + Kush: An herbal medley of soothing black tea, lavender, and indica kush. Contains Essential Oils of Patchouli from Indonesia

Cannabis + Eastern Cedar: Exotic woods and luxurious amber mingle with attention-grabbing cannabis. Contains essential oils of Cedars Atlantic from Morocco

While these hemp-based candles are THC and CBD free, their high-quality essential oil content delivers some of the same natural terpenes found in cannabis that enhance THC’s psychoactive and medicinal properties. Terpenes (detailed in our previous blog post) are generally credited with giving pot its varied fragrances—limonene, for example, imparts a snappy, citrusy perfume, giving strains like “super lemon kush” its distinct smell. Terpenoids, derived from terpenes, are quite potent, and affect animal and human behavior when inhaled from ambient air. They display unique therapeutic effects that may contribute meaningfully to the effects of cannabis-based medicinal extracts. That synergistic effect is known as the Entourage Effect: a term used to describe the enhanced effects of cannabinoids (THC and CBD) when multiple compounds synergistically work together rather than alone.

While lighting up one of our Hemp candles won’t get you “high”; pairing these natural fragrances with your favorite “flower” can enhance its relaxing effects.

Puff, Puff, Pass: Sustainability

This collection offers a  superlatively clean burn through an unconventional wick system. We source organic, beeswax-coated hemp wicks that extend the burn time of your candle. The wicks are constructed from organic hemp fibers, requiring a trim before each burn in order to avoid the wick becoming top heavy and curving. This small labor of love is a small price to pay for a wick that is biodegradable, natural, and toxin-free. Aligned with the wick system, is our hemp, coconut, soy wax blend- also clean burning and environmentally friendly.

After hours of extended burn time resulting from the properties of carbon neutral hemp materials, our sage green vessels are ideal for upcycling and re-use in storage, planting, and home decor.
